FRENCH, M. Pauline Cain - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

HILLSBORO — M. Pauline Holycross French, 90, 1428 E. Bonebrake Road, Veedersburg, died at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2000 in Covington Manor Nursing Center. She was born June 3, 1909 in Fountain County, the daughter of Morris and Amanda Waymire Cain. She married Nile Holycross June 28, 1925 in Wingate. He preceded in death March 10, 1964. She married Brent French Nov. 15, 1975 in Muncie. He preceded in death Nov. 21, 1980. Survivors include: three daughters, Sharon Barton, Crawfordsville, Loretta Summers and Twila Zackmire, both of Hillsboro; three sons, Jerry Holycross, Hillsboro, Darrell Holycross, Veedersburg, Loren Holycross, Lapel; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Lorene Holycross, three sisters and a brother. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Monday in Maus Funeral Home, Hillsboro, with the Rev. Gary Johnson officiating. Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Covington. Memorial contributions may be made to the Family Hospice of West Central Indiana. – jlr
