Hillsboro – Herman R. Foxworthy, 78 died Monday evening in his Hillsboro home. He was born at Hillsboro and attended schools here. Mr. Foxworthy was employed for a time at Ford Garage in Hillsboro and later operated Foxworthy Citgo Station until retiring in 1966. He was a member of Hillsboro Christian Church where he formerly was a deacon. Surviving are his widow, the former Hazel McCormick; three sons, Clifford R. and Fred L. Foxworthy, both of Hillsboro and James C. Foxworthy of Anchorage, Alaska; and one daughter, Mrs. Marilyn Wilkinson of Glascow, KY. - kbz

Herman R. Foxworthy of Hillsboro, age 78, died Monday afternoon, March 8, at his home. He was born in Hillsboro, May 5, 1903, the son of George and Elda Foxworthy Foxworthy. September 18, 1926, he married Hazel McCormick, who survives. Foxworthy was a member and former deacon of Hillsboro Christian Church and a member of Hillsboro Booster Club. He retired in 1966 from Foxworthy Citgo Station and prior having that had worked at the Ford garage.
Also surviving are a daughter, Marilyn Wilkinson of Glasgow, Kentucky; three sons, Clifford R. and Fred L., both of Hillsboro, and James C. of Anchorage, Alaska; 13 grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held this afternoon (Thursday) at Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Rev. Thomas Inabinett officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery at Hillsboro. -s-
