Earl Ward Foxworthy, 62, 9357 W 600 N, Thorntown, died Friday, Jan. 5, 1996 at 6 p.m. at his residence. He had been ill for the past 17 months. He was born in Veedersburg on March 17, 1933, the son of Ward Riffle and Dorothy Eva (Mears) Foxworthy. He had formerly lived in Mellott and had resided in Thorntown for the past 29 years. Mr. Foxworthy was a graduate of Richland Township School in 1952. He worked for Alcoa Aluminum Plant in Lafayette for 41 years, working as a power truck operator. He married Carolyn Faith Turpin on Sept. 1, 1962 in Veedersburg. She survives. Also surviving, are: one son, Mark Foxworthy of Thorntown; one daughter, Lisa Foxworthy-Parker of Franklin; one sister, Nell Jackson of Crawfordsville; two brothers, Oscar Foxworthy of Veedersburg and Archie Foxworthy of Marshall; and three grandsons. Visitation was Tuesday at Maus Funeral Home, Hillsboro. Service there on Wednesday with Homer Jennings officiating. Interment in Coal Creek Cemetery at Union Christian Church, south of Attica. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. – jlr
