William E. Fox, 86, of Rt. 2, Covington, did Tuesday in his home after an illness of several months. Mr. Fox had been employed by the Neal Gravel Co. and Indiana State Highway Department until his retirement in 1950. He had also been a carpenter for many years. Mr. Fox, a life resident of Gessie and Foster communities, was born Jan. 5, 1888 in Highland Township of Vermillion county, a son of Daniel A and Elizabeth Ricketts Fox. He was married to Marguerite Clem on Feb. 10, 1909. She died Jan. 25, 1970. Survivors include three sons, Richard of Covington, James of California and Glenno fEnglewood, Colo.; four daughters, Miss Reva Fox of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Evelyn Switzer of Rt. 2, Covington, Mrs. Elizabeth Bucholz of Rock Lake, N.D. and Mrs. Wilma Gose of Griffith; a sister, Mrs. Ruby Hines of Covington' 15 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, a sister, two brothers, a grandson and a granddaughter. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Kissinger officiating. Burial will be in Lower Mound Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday.

Covington—William E. Fox, 86, of Covington Route 2, died Tuesday, April 16, 1974 at his home. He had been ill since August. Born Jan. 5, 1888, in Highland Township, Vermillion County, he was the son of Daniel A. and Elizabeth Ricketts Fox. He was married Feb. 10, 1909 to Marguerite Clem, who died Jan. 25, 1970.
A life resident of the Foster and Gessie communities, he had been a carpenter for many years and was employed at the Neal Gravel Co. and the Indiana State Highway before retiring in 1950.
Survivors include four daughters, Miss Reva Fox of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Evelyn Switzer of Covington Route 2, Mrs. Elizabeth Bucholz of Rock Lake, N. D. and Mrs. Wilma Gose of Griffith; three sons, Glenn of Englewood, Colo., Richard of Covington and James of California; a sister, Mrs. Ruby Hines of Covington; 15 grandchildren; and 23 great grandchildren.

Services were at 2 p.m. Friday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Kinninger officiating. Burial was in Lower Mound Cemetery. -s
