COVINGTON, Ind. (CNS) - Louis Edward Fox, 91, a life resident of the Covington area, died at 7:50 a.m. today (June 26, 1969) in Westbrook Nursing Home, Crawfordsville where he had been a patient nine days. He had been ill one month. Born May 12, 1878, near Perrysville, he was a son of John A, and Eliza Jane Jacobs Fox. He was married April 19, 1922, to Lucy Wilson who preceded him in death June 16, 1948. He was married April 22, 1951, to Maude Smith who preceded him in death March 24, 1965. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Mary Randolph of Covington, and a brother, Albert Fox of Danville. He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters. Mr. Fox had operated a threshing machine and saw mill and was a painter and paper hanger. His hobby was fishing. Services will be at 2 p.m. (EDT) Saturday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home. The Rev. Harold Fogle will officiate. Burial will be in Mr. Hope Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Friday.  -jlr

Covington – Louis Edward (Lou) Fox age 91 a life resident of the Covington area died at 7:50 a.m. Thursday June 26 in the Westbrook Nursing Home in Crawfordsville where he had been a patient nine days.  He had been ill one month.  Mr. Fox born May 12, 1878 near Perrysville, the son of John A and Eliza Jane Jacobs Fox.  He was married April 19, 1922 to Lu7cy Wilson who preceded him in death June 16, 1948.  He was married April 22, 1951 to Maude Smith who preceded him in death March 24, 1965. He had operated a threshing machine and saw mill and was a painter and paper hanger. His hobby was fishing. Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Mary Randolph of Covington and one brother, Albert Fox of Danville.  He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters. Also surviving are 7 stepchildren; Mrs. Vaughan White of Covington, Ivan Blue, Ike Smith and Ruth Curry, all of Danville, Ill; Jessie Bowman of Delta, Colo; Helen Crowder of Perrysville and Betty Gulstine of Leroy, Ill 22 stepgrandchildren and 43 step great grandchildren.  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home. The Rev. Harold Fogle officiated and burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
