Lafayette—The death of Anna Catherine Fox, 21 year old Purdue University co-ed, was caused by a large dose of strychnine, Dr. Wayne T. Cox, Tippecanoe County coroner reported yesterday.   Dr. Cox said the cause of death was determined by Dr. R. N. Harger, Indiana University toxicologist who made laboratory tests of the girl’s internal organs after her body was found last Thursday along a railroad track near the Purdue campus.    The coroner said he would not return a formal verdict for two or three days, but a finding of suicide was indicated.   The funeral was held at Connersville, where Miss Fox’s parents live.   Purdue students joined state and local police in a widespread search for the pharmacy school honor student after she disappeared last Tuesday. Students found the body 48 hours later and reported there were no signs of violence. The hands were tied loosely with twine, but state police said the girl could have tied the cord herself. – thanks so much to S&E for all their great obit work
