Services and burial were held Friday in Muncie for Charles D. Fouts, 68, a former resident of Newtown, who died at his home in Muncie.
Born near New Richmond, he was married in 1913 to Hazel Smith, who survives.
Other survivors include five sons, Ernest of Houston, Texas, Sgt. Joseph Fouts of Montgomery, Ala., Paul of Hope, Airman James Fouts of Ontario, Canada, and Lloyd at home; two daughters, Mrs. Ernestine D. King of Muncie and Charlene at home; two brothers, Claude and Roscoe, both of Crawfordsville and a sister, Mrs. Ilah Pearson of Lafayette. - jz
