WILLIAMSPORT -- Mrs. Marie Foster, 72, Rt. 1, Williamsport, died 5:45 p.m. Sunday at St. Elizabeth in Danville, Ill. She had been hospitalised for two weeks and had been in failing health the past four years.

Mrs. Foster was born in Jordan Township, Warren County, on November 15, 1897, the daughter of Zara and Maggie Wyatt Pence. She was a life resident of Warren County. She was married Jan, 17, 1922, in Danville, Ill., to Wilmer E. Foster who preceded her in death in 1965. She was a member of the Rickman Heights Christian Church and a 54 year member of Jordan Chapter of OES in Hedrick.

Surviving ar two daughters, Mrs. Barbara Milligan, West Lebanon; Mrs. Mary Maude Kennedy, Rt. 1, Williamsport; one sister, Mrs. George McIntosch, Williamsport. One son, Donald, preceded her in death in 1967. Five grandchildren also survive.

Friends will be received at DeSutter Funeral Home after 5 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral services will be in the DeSutter Chapel 1:30 p.m. Thursday, with Rev. Gerald Burt officiating. Interment will be in Jordan Cemetery at Pence.

Funeral services for Marie Foster, 72, of Rt. 1, Williamsport, who died 5:45 p.m. Sunday at St. Elizabeth Hospital Danville, Ill., were held 1:30 p.m. Thursday at DeSutter Funeral Home, with Rev. Gerald Burt officiating. Eastern Star memorial services were presented at the funeral home by Jordan Chapter No. 242, of Pence. Interment followed in Jordan Cemetery, Pence, with DeSutter Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Serving as pallbearers were Earl Foster, Roy Swanson, Lawrence Pitzer, Glen Weaver, Delmar James and Ray Shadowens.
