HILLSBORO -- James M. Foster, 77, of Rt. 1, Hillsboro, a retired mechanic, was found dead at his residence Wednesday. He had been in failing health for several months. He was a veteran of World War I. Born Oct. 24, 1896, in Macon County, Illinois, he was a son of James and Annie Kinnerman Foster. He was married Feb. 12, 1938. The widow, Martha, survives. Other survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Helen) Myers of Iowa, Mrs. Charles (Georgetta) Starnes of Yountsville, Mrs. Don (Judy) Leeke of Roachdale, Mrs. Tom (Patricia) Crowder of Hillsboro, Miss Susan Foster of Lafayette, and Sally, a student at Fountain Central High School; three sons, James of Wingate, Roger of Wallace and Robert of Florida; and 15 grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Woodrow Funeral Home at Kingman with the Rev. John Foxworthy of Waynetown officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery east of Wallace. Hillsboro, Ind.—James M. Foster, 77, of Hillsboro Route 1, died at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday (May 22, 1974) at his home. He had been ill for several months. Born Oct. 24, 1896, in Macon County, Ill., he was the son of James and Annie Kinnerman Foster. On Feb. 12, 1938, he married Martha Meike Kilmast, who survives. Mr. Foster was a retired mechanic and veteran of World War I. Other survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Helen) Myers of Iowa, Mrs. Charles (Georgetta) Starnes of Yountsville, Mrs. Tom (Patricia) Crowder of Hillsboro, Mrs. Don (Judy) Leeke of Roachdale, Miss Susan Foster of Lafayette, Sally at home; three sons, James of Wingate, Roger of Wallace and Robert of Florida; and 15 grandchildren.
