Services for Mrs. Mable G. Forker, 72, of 79 Lake St., who died at 9 a.m. Wednesday at her home following an illness of several years, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Lakeside Funeral Chapel with Freddie Griffith officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. An Eastern Star service was held this afternoon at the funeral home. Mrs. Forker was a member of the Second Church of Christ, Iris Chapter Order of Eastern Star and Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen Auxiliary. Her hobby was collecting salt and pepper shakers. She moved to Danville from State Line, Ind. in 1917. Born Dec. 29, 1897 in State Line she was the daughter of John and Ora Sines Hoover. She was married to Abbie R. Forker Jan. 13, 1917 in Danville, He survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. David (Virginia) Ward and a son, Charles E., both of Danville; a brother, Ted Hoover of Harvey; a sister, Mrs. Willis (Edith) Finney of State Line; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 10 brothers.  - jlr
