FORD, Harry Raymond, Jr. - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Harry Raymond Ford Jr. of Steelville, Illinois, age 57, died Friday, February 26, in the Jewish Hospital at St. Louis, Missouri. He was born in Danville, Illinois, May 15, 1924, the son of Harry Raymond and Mary Ellen Kinney Ford. February 14, 1944, he married Mildred Janice Steelman, who survives. Ford was a member of Steelville First Baptist Church and had been employed as a heavy equipment operator for AMAX Coal Company.

  Also surviving are two daughters, Debra Sue McGee of Catlin, Illinois, and Rebecca Jo Coster of Murphysboro, Illinois; two sons, Scott Lee of Georgetown and Harry Lynn of Jacksonville, Illinois; seven sisters, Virginia Taylor, Hazel Norris, Betty Duitsman and Thelma Brooks, all of Danville, Illinois, Irene Burgoyne of Covington and Sandra Metcalf of Fenton, Missouri; and seven grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Pape Memorial Home in Danville, Illinois, with Rev. Richard Newcom and Rev. Frank Bush officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery at Danville.
