FOLEY, Lula Hughes - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Veedersburg- Mrs. Lula Hughes Foley, 65 of 705 Indiana, died at 1:55 p.m. Wednesday Sept 8 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Born March 21, 1906 near Oakwood, she was the daughter of John David and Rosa Brown Hughes. She was married Jan 14, 1926 to Levin "Sy" Foley, who died in August 1970. Survivors include 7 daughters: Mrs. Roseanna Maust of Nappanee; Mrs. Marvel Moore of Greencastle; Mrs. Juanita Gillenwater of Yawkey, WV; Mrs. Linda Warfield of Waynetown; Mrs. Shirley Riley, Mr. Amy Furr and Mrs. Ruth Walton all of Veedersburg; three sons, John of Perrysville; Sam and Tom, both of Veedersburg; 3 brothers, Ben Hughes of Mellott; John Hughes of Newtown and Oscar Hughes of Williamsport; two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Holycross of Tuscson AZ and Mrs. Gertrude Holden of Mellott; 27 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She also was preceded in dath by 3 brothers. Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday at Parham Funeral Home, Rev. Vernon Souder officiated. Burial in Osborn Prarie Cemetery.
