FLOYD, Jane Bryant - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Hillsboro - Mrs. Janie Floyd, 71 of Wingate, died Thursday morning at Culver Hospital after an illness lasting two days. Mrs. Floyd lived most of her adult life in Hillsboro. From Hillsboro she moved to Newtown about 4 years and then moved to Wingate where she resided for over a year prior to her death. Born Jan 16, 1894 in Washington County, ind she was the daughter of Daniel and Almeda George Bryant. She married Marion Floyd Sept 21, 1908 in Scottsburg. He survives. Mrs. Floyd was a member of the Mt. Eden Christian Church in Washington County. She was preceded in death by daughter, Edith and two brothers. Survivors in addition to the husband are a son, Glen Floyd of Newtown and two sisters, Mrs. Kizzy Hahn of Little Yord, Ind and Mrs. Ethel Bane of Wingate. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro, Rev. Goerge Phelps will officiate. Burial in Newtown Union Cemetery.
