Mildred Elizabeth Fleming, daughter of Hermy and Maude Fleming, was born in Stone Bluff on Dec. 17, 1923, where she spent her entire life.
One year ago, Mildred became ill and was forced to spend some time in a Danville hospital.  After her release from there she gradually improved and again enjoyed her usual health until November of this year when she again became
ill.  She was under doctor's care for three weeks with the constant loving care of her parents, but due to her weakened condition and her long illness, she could not recover from this attack.  She lapsed into a coma on Thursday morning and quietly and peacefully passed away on Friday morning, November 2, at the age of 33 years.
In early life, Mildred became a member of the Stone Bluff E.U.B. Church.  She was baptized there and was a regular attendant at church services and Sunday School, never absent except when her health prevented her going.  Next to her family, she loved the church the most, and she will be sadly missed there. ,
She leaves to morn her passing, her parents, one brother, John, one sister-in-law, Jackie, a niece and nephew, Nancy and Mike Fleming of Oxford, Indiana, also a large number of aunts, uncles and cousins and a host of friends and neighbors, all of whom she so deeply loved.
Mildred's sweet personality and her always pleasant and cheerful life won for her many friends by whom she will be long remembered and so sadly missed.  - jz
