FISHER, Reina Helms - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Reina Keefer Helms Fisher of Naperville, Illinois, formerly of Attica, age 87, died Wednesday morning, May 6, in Dupage Convalescent Nursing Home at Naperville. She was born in Attica, March 20, 1884, the daughter of Orin E. and Anna Shawnessey Keefer. June 23, 1917, she married Doan J. Helms, who died January 21, 1968. In 1972 in Hawaii, she married Elmer T. Fisher, who died in 1975. Mrs. Fisher was a graduate of Attica High School and Indiana State University and taught for 20 years in Davis Township, Rob Roy and Shawnee. She was a member of Attica First United Methodist Church, Missionary Society, Psi Iota Xi Sorority and Monday Club and the Fountain County Home Economics Club.

  Survivors include two sons, Frank W. Helms of LaPorte and Doan Helms Jr. of Naperville; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at Maus Funeral Home in Attica with Rev. Marvin Jones officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery at Attica. – thanks to S
