Perrysville -- Joseph Fishback, 85-year-old farmer, died at 8:55 p. m. Saturday, Nov. 3, 1962 in the Vermillion Nursing Home where he had been a patient since Sept. 28. Mr. Fishback had been an assessor 34 years in McKendree Township and had served many years on school boards. He was a member of Lowe's Chapel 66 years. He was born June 10, 1877 in Perrysville, the son of James A. and Carrie Chambers Fishback. On Feb. 25, 1903, he was married to Alice Dunivan who survives, along with a foster son, Wayne Brooks of Danville. Mr. Fishback was the last of five children in his family. Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. Tuesday at the Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home with burial in Niccum Cemetery. Pallbearers were Amos Breezly, Earl Breezly, Richard Kemna, Dale Gouty, John Wilson and Roscoe Fishback. --typed by Walt W
