Kingman – Funeral services for Harry Finney, age 81 a former resident of this community who died Monday, March 10 at his home in Britton, SD were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Kingman. Burial with the Woodrow Funeral Home in charge was in the Kingman Fraternal Cemetery. Mr. Finney who had moved west about two years ago was born in Parke County May 11, 1887 the son of Joseph D. and Sarah Patten Finney. On June 20, 1925 he was married to Lucille Newnum who survives. Surviving in addition to his wife are one daughter, Mrs. Helen Fabert of Tacoma, Wash; one son the Rev. Lee Finney of Britton, SD; one half brother, Will Fisher of Hillsboro and six grandchildren. – kbz
