William E. Fine, 77 a life-long resident of Fountain and Western Montgomery Counties, died at 7:15 o'clock Monday evening at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Foster Watts, of Waynetown. He had been seriously ill for 3 weeks of a heart ailment. Mr. Fine was born in the Wallace neighborhood in Fountain County on January 13, 1874 the son of David and Catherine Krout Fine. He was married on Aug 10, 1895 in Fountain County to Miss Buena Vista Powers who d. Jan 5, 1927. He was a member of the Lutheran Church at Wallace and the Masonic Lodge at Waynetown. The deceased engaged in farming for som eyears and later was in the delivery and drawage business in Waynetown and for 19 years was Standard Oil dealer. He was the uncle of Mrs. JW Burgner and Misses Eliz and Lois Boggs of Veedersburg. Surviving are two sons, Glen of Waynetown and Harold of Indianapolis; the daughter, Mrs. Watts, with whom he lived; two sisters, Mrs. Young and Mrs. Cordelle Dodds of Noblesville and 4 great grandchildren. Buried in Waynetown Masonic.
