Hillsboro – Nov 26 – Mrs. Rachel Eveline Finch. 71 died early Sunday morning at her home here after several years of declining health. She had been seriously ill only a few days. Mrs. Finch was born at Jamestown June 1, 1873, the daughter of John and Julia Polland; and as a girl was engaged in the millinery business there. She was married to Everett Pearl Finch March 4, 1896; and they lived in Jamestown until 39 years ago when they moved to Hillsboro. Mr. Finch was engaged in the grain business here until his death in 1937. Survivors include three daughters: Mrs. Rowena Clore, Columbus, O; Mrs. Estaline Bellai and Mrs. Rhoda Jane Burroughs, both of Hillsboro; one son, Francis Finch, Alameda, Calif; three sisters, Mrs. Alfredo Valenti, New York City; Mrs. Elizabeth Cox and Mrs. Mary Moore, both of Chicago one brother, Claude Polland, Indianapolis and six grandchildren. Funeral will be at the Christian Church here at 2 o’clock Thursday afternoon with the Rev. HA Davis, former pastor in charge. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. - kbz
