Covington – Larry Joseph Fields, 21 of Rt 2, Covington Oct 1 at 12:20 p.m. at Carle Memorial Hospital in Champaign Ill where he had been a patient two weeks. He had been in ill health the past year and a half. He was born Sept 14, 1947 the son of Ralph A. and Ruth M. Ownbey Fields. He was a graduate of Covington HS in 1966 and attended Purdue University for one and one half years. He attended MDTA graduate school in Danville, Ill where he would have graduated in November 1968. He was a member of 4-H and participated in 4-H actives for 10 years. He was a member of Benson Chapel Methodist Church and MYF of the church. He is survived by his parents of Rt 2, Covington; two brothers, Danny Fields, Covington and Davey Fields at home; one sister, Miss Linda Ann Fields, a student at Indiana State University, Terre Haute; his grandparents, Harry and Maleta Knecht Field of Rt 2, Covington and several aunts. Funeral services were held Friday Oct 4 2 p.m. at Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with Rev. Charles William officiating. Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery. – kbz
