Aaron Lee Ferling, 64, of 803 S. Union St., Attica, died Tuesday, Feb 10, 1976, at the Americana Nursing Home in Lafayette. He had been in ill health since August 1975. Born in Prairie Township, Warren County, Ferling was the son of George Lee and Elsie Elizabeth Larch Ferling. He attended school in Ambia and lived in the Tab area until moving to Attica in 1957. In December, 1940, he married Alvera Haines in Greenville, Ohio. Mr. Ferling worked as a swing grinder at the Harrison Steel Castings Co. for 18 years, at the Attica Disposal Center and the Attica High School. He was a member of the Locust Grove Methodist Church and Moose Lodge of Attica. Surviving are one son, Robert Wayne Ferling of Crawfordsville; three daughters; Linda Diana Patterson, Lafayette; Carla Janette Riegel and Elsie Ann Ferling, both of Greenville, Ohio and several grandchildren. One daughter and one sister preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at the Locust Grove Methodist church at 2 p.m. Friday Feb 13, with the Rev. Paul Garner officiating. The body will lie in state an hour prior to that service. Burial will follow in the Locust Grove cemetery with Dale Maus in charge.
