Covington March 22 – The state has asked for a rehearing on inheritance tax matters connected with the estate of David S. Ferguson who died in Covington in 1928, leaving a large estate. The estate has been finally closed for some time, the inheritance tax due having been determined in the usual manner and paid, amounting to about $2,000. The petition filed by the state is accordingly a surprise. Hearing will be held before the court to introduce evidence. --- transcribed by kbz
