FENTERS, Elanore M. Hoffman - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Elanore M. Hoffman Fenters, 85, formerly of Attica, died at 9:05 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, 2004, in the Americare Health Center, Westfield. She had been residing with her niece, Judy Gest (husband: Morton), in Carmel. Born Apr. 6, 1919, in Attica, she was a lifelong resident of Attica and graduated from Attica High School in 1936. Following graduation she worked for two years for the Northern Indiana Power Company and for ten years for the Greencastle Indiana Power Company. She retired from the F.F. DeSutter and Loan Company where she worked for 40 years. On Sept. 15, 1945 Elanore married Noel Dean Fenters in Attica. He died Spet. 12, 1984. She formerly attended Attica First United Methodist Church and enjoyed flower gardening. Surviving with her niece is a stepson, Dr. James Fenters of Chicago. Other survivors include a nephew, Mike Funk (wife: Judy) of Lafayette and a cousin, Mary Riley Roth of San Jose, Ca. Preceded in death by her sister, Eloise Funk.
