After a several months illness of carcinoma, Mrs. Lena E. Feely, 61, former resident of Mellott died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Meadows of Bridgeport, Sunday afternoon Jan 8. Funeral service was held at the Congregational Church in Mellott Wednesday afternoon with Rev. Guy Walters assisted by Rev. HP Barnes officiating. Burial in the Old Baptist cemetery west of Newtown. Mrs. Feely was born Nov 19, 1888 near Mellott, the daughter of Elmer and Martha Moore Cecil. On Aug 5, 1906 she was married to Theodore Stamper who preceded her in death.
