FAUTH, Carl - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mellott, Ind. - Carl E. Fauth, 72, of Veedersburg Route 3, died Saturday morning Jan. 8, 1972 at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville. He had been hospitalized a week and ill three and a half years. Born Jan. 17, 1899, at Augusta, Ky., he was the son of Benhardt and Grace Whiteman Fauth. He married Lenora Wiggins on Sept. 20, 1924, at Lafayette. He moved to the Mellott area 50 years ago from Springfield, Ky. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Newtown Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Ivan (Jean) Wann of Veedersburg Route 3; a sister, Miss Lola Fauth of Newtown ; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son. Services were 2 p.m. EST Monday at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro, with the Rev. George Phelps officiating. Burial was in Masonic Cemetery at Waynetown.
