FAUST, L. Guy - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Covington - L. Guy Faust, vice president of Covington Building and Loan Association, died Sunday evening in Lee Memorial Hospital at Fort Myers, Fl. In failing health for the past two years, he had been hospitalized for one day. Mr. Faust, who is a past president of the building and loan association, was the owner and operator of the Covington Hardware Store for 52 years. He opened the business in 1908, at the age of 18, retiring in 1960. He had spent the last several winters in Florida. He was a member of the First church of Christ and Knights of Pythias in Covington. He was born Sept. 29, 1889, in Crawfordsville, a son of Lee R. and Martha J. Stewart Faust. He was married June 16, 1911, in Covington to Daisey Rhodes. She survives. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Deverter Funeral Home with the Rev. James Daniel and the Rev. Robert H. Miller officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
