FAULKNER, Martha Coonce - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Martha Faulkner of Attica, formerly of Veedersburg, age 83, died Friday evening, May 15, in Meadow Heights Nursing Center at Williamsport. She was born in Humrick, Illinois, July 3, 1897, the daughter of William and Florence Walthawl Coonce. June 14, 1919, she married Nolan Faulkner, who died in 1970. Mrs. Faulkner was a member of the Methodist Church at Hoopeston, Illinois, and had worked in a number of restaurants.

  Survivors include a son, Garnet A. of Louisville, Kentucky; a sister, Mrs. Florence Lawrence of Oak Creek, Illinois; a brother, Thomas J. Coonce of Seneca Castle, New York; and a brother-in-law, Melvin Anderson of Paxton, Illinois.

  Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Maus Funeral Home in Attica with Rev. Kenneth Burris officiating. Burial was in Rockfield Cemetery at Veedersburg. – thanks to S
