FARRIS, Thomas E. - Korean War

Thomas E. Farris of Catlin, Illinois, age 52, died Friday afternoon, May 6, in Indiana University Medical Center at Indianapolis. He was born at Danville, Illinois, March 7, 1931, the son of Thomas Nathan and Vera E. Ogle Farris. July 12, 1959, he married Bernadine Dailey, who survives.

  Farris was a member of the Church of Christ, David Busby American Legion Post and Illinois National Guard. He was a driver for Falstaff in Danville for 25 years and for the past four years was employed by Ryder Truck Lines. Farris was an Army veteran of the Korean War.

  Also surviving are a daughter, Lone Riggle of Georgetown, Illinois; two sons, Richard Lave of Tucson, Arizona, and Kenneth Lave of Covington; a brother, Floyd of Danville; and four grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Barrick and Son Funeral Home in Danville with Rev. Frank Bush officiating. Burial was in Oak Ridge Cemetery at Danville. – thanks to S
