FARRELL, Gladys Swaim - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Gladys N. Farrell of Danville, Illinois, formerly of Covington and Perrysville, age 59, died Monday afternoon, May 18, at her home. She was born August 26, 1921, the daughter of George and Myrtle Weir Swaim. October 11, 1941, she married Vernon H. Farrell, who died June 15, 1972. Mrs. Farrell was a seamstress at Dynacore in Covington for 10 years, retiring in 1979.

  Survivors include a daughter, Miss Judy Farrell, at home; four sons, Vernon of Brazil, Eugene of Danville, Indiana, Terry of Atlanta, Georgia, and Ronald of Newport; a brother, Carl Swaim of Danville, Illinois; nine grandchildren and four nieces.

  Graveside services and burial were this afternoon (Thursday) in Mount Hope Cemetery at Covington with Rev. Murray Strange officiating. Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington was in charge of arrangements. – thanks to S
