Alamo -- Howard A. Farley, 74 of Alamo died at 11:55 a.m. Thursday in Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville where he had been a patient since Dec 19. He was born April 6, 1895 near Mace, son of John S. and Margaret Ann Morris Farley. On November 15, 1916 he was married to Lola Edith Keller who preceded him in death in Febraury 1967. Mr. Farley was a member of Union Chapel Church and Alamo Conservation Club. He farmed early in life, then was employed 20 years by Oaks Manufacturing at Crawfordsville. He later was a custodian at Dover and Alamo schools before retirement. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Mildred Louise Nichols; four sons, Leslie Earl; Austin Lavern; Gordon Leon and Gerald Wayne; a brother Lawrence; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Stewart and Mrs. Anna Demoret and 20 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Servies-Thomas Funeral Home, Waynetown with Rev. John Servies officiating. Burial in Weir Cemetery.
