Cayuga – Frederick Clyde Farley, 26, mechanic at the Clark Chevrolet Sales, Cayuga was fatally injured at 11:25 a.m. Monday when he lost control of the garage wrecker and struck a light post at an intersection of the Eugene and Cemetery Road, north of Cayuga. His brother, Robert, a passenger was not injured. The deceased died en route to the office of Dr. SC Darroch here. He reportedly suffered a broken neck and possible skull fracture. The wrecker was demolished. Coroner Howard Watson had not scheduled an inquest Monday afternoon. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Watson Funeral Home but other funeral arrangements were incomplete. Mr. Fraley, a veteran served 18 months overseas in the Navy. He was a member of the American Legion and the Christian Church. He was born Sept 28, 1919 at Cayuga son of Dewey and Hettie Pratt Farley and was married June 22, 1939 to Miriam Cooke, Dana. Surviving are his widow and three small daughters, Linda Lou, Connie Lynn and Janis Kay all at home; his father, Dewey Farley, Danville; a brother, Robert near Perrysville and a sister, Mrs. Virginia Pound, Cayuga.
