COLVERT, E. Katherine - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Miss E. Katharine Colvert of Attica, age 74, died Wednesday, May 12, in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Lafayette. A life resident of Attica, she was born December 26, 1907, the daughter of Armstrong and Emma Hudson Colvert.

  Miss Colvert was a member of Attica-Williamsport Presbyterian Church, Presbyterian Women’s Organization, Monday Afternoon Club, Women’s Literary Club and Wesleyan Circle. She was a charter member of Tri Kappa. A 1925 graduate of Attica High School, she had worked as a legal secretary for several years for J. Wesley Whicker and Lee Whitehall, and for about 25 years after that as secretary of Wade C. Harrison Steel Casting Company.

  Funeral services were held Saturday morning at Maus Chapel in Attica with Rev. Kenneth Burris officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery at Attica. – thanks to S
