COLLINS, James L. - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

James I. Collins of Waveland, age 68, died Thursday, May 7 in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Lafayette. He was born in Fountain County, May 22, 1912, the son of James H. and Treva Rice Collins. November 26, 1936, he married Rose Marie Lightle, who survives. Collins was a member of the Crawfordsville Moose Lodge and was retired from Conrail.

  Also surviving are five sisters, Mrs. Ruby Pence of Slidell, Louisiana, Mrs. Myrtle Johnson of Denton, Maryland, Mrs. Lorane Verhey of Crawfordsville, Mrs. Mary Ray of West Point and Mrs. Josephine Williams of Bean Station, Tennessee; and a brother, Richard of RR 1, Kingman.

  Funeral services were held Monday morning at Machledt and Servies Funeral Home in Waveland with Rev. James Lynn officiating. Burial was in the Lutheran Cemetery at Wallace. – thanks to S
