Covington – William B. Coleman, for many years a resident of this place, died at the Lakeview Hospital in Danville, Ill, Wednesday morning. Mr. Coleman, who had resided in Danville for the past three years had been a patient at the hospital for six weeks. Born south of Covington on March 28, 1870, he was the son of Henry and Angeline Bass Coleman. He attended the old Covington Normal school and the Valparaiso Norman college after which he taught in the Fountain County schools for a number of years. For 29 years he was a merchant in Covington. He served at one time as a member of the Covington school board. He was a member of the Masonic lodge at Covington and of the Danville Kiwanis Club. The survivors include the wife, Mrs. Margaret Crane Coleman, and a brother, Frank Coleman of Perrysville. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at Shelby Funeral Home in Covington. Burial was in the Mount Hope cemetery here. The masonic Lodge had charge of the services. - kbz
