COLEMAN, Charles "Ki" - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Stringtown – Charles “Ki” Coleman, 80, died at 6:50 p.m. May 14, 1993 at Fayette County Hospital in Vandalia, Ill.  He had been in ill health several years.  He was born Aug 2, 1912 in Stringtown, the son of Charles A. and Emma Logan Coleman. He was a resident of Stringtown most of his life.  He was a veteran of World War II, a former farm laborer.  Surviving are two brothers, Forest Alex Coleman, Casey, Ill; Josiah Coleman, Fairfield Calif; several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and two brothers.  Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today (Tuesday) at Shelby Funeral Home, Covington with Paul Kirby, officiating.  Burial was at Mt. Carmel Cemetery (note present tense today and past burial was).  Military service to be held at the gravesite.  Visitation will be one hour prior to service.  --- transcribed by  kbz
