Newtown - Carl C. Coleman, age 58, a native of Fountain County and brother of Fred H. Coleman of Newtown, died unexpectedly Tuesday evening, March 12, in a hospital at Denver, Colo. He had been ill about 10 days and had undergone surgery a week ago. Born March 4, 1905, at Covington, he was the youngest son of C. C. and Nellie Williamson Coleman. He was employed by the A-American Telephone & Telegraph Co. for about 35 years and went to Denver from Chicago about 25 years ago. He was a graduate of Perrysville High School in 1923. Mr. Coleman was married to Helen Ruthroff at Decatur, Ill., in 1930 and she died in 1955. He was married in 1958 in Denver and his wife, Mary, and two stepdaughters survive. Also surviving are three brothers, Lee of Port Arthur, Tex., Keith of Chicago and Fred H. of Newtown, and an aunt in Danville, Ill. Funeral services were held in Denver Friday, March 15. Burial was also there.
