Funeral Notice - Visitation at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica 12 p.m. Saturday until time of service at 2 p.m. Saturday, the Rev. James Boudoris officiating. Interment Riverside Cemetery. Surviving 8 grandchildren 12 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by a sister, Edith Hayes and her parents. Memorial contributions may be made to the Heart Fund.
Attica - Fern Viola Cole, 80, formerly of 503 S. Perry St, died at 10:15 p.m. Wednesday at Woodland Manor Nursing Center in Attica. She had lived there since 1989 and had been in failing health for some time.
Born in Oblong, Ill Dec 22, 1911 she attended schools at Oblong. Mrs. Cole had lived in Fountain and Warren counties before moving to Attica in 1954.
She married Jerry Cole on Feb 16, 1931 in Oblong. He preceded her in death. A homemaker, Mrs. Cole was a former cook at the Hoosier Restaurant in Attica for severalo years.
She attended the Attica Christian Church and was a member of the VFW Ladies auxiliary.
Surviving are three sons, Frank Lyle Cole of Hialeah, Fla; Jerry Leonard Cole of Mesa, Ariz and Jesse Damon Cole of Attica; a daughter, Mrs. Patricia Ann Dicovitch of Kentland and a brother, Olin L. Perkins of Wheeler, Mich.
