COLE, Fauniel Hancock - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Fauneil Cole, 78, 305 S. Ninth St., Lafayette, died at 11:40 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, in St. Elizabeth Hospital. She had been in failing health several years and in the hospital since Aug. 19. She was born Nov. 10, 1907, in Fountain County. She spent most of her life in that area. She was a salesperson for several years at The Fashion and retired in 1974. She was a member of the Mellott Christian Church. She was married in 1936, in Attica, to Malcolm Cole. He died in 1959. Surviving are one brother, Homer Hancock, Redding, Calif., two nieces and three nephews. Service will be at a later date. Soller-Baker Lafayette funeral directors were in charge.
