Soon after marriage Mr. and Mrs. Coffman emigrated to Iowa then in the early days of its history and settled in Washington County in the year 1840. During the years since that time Mrs. Coffman has lived continuously in this state and for some time had made her home in this city where she has many friends who most deeply sympathize with the bereaved friends. 11 children came to cheer this home, four of whom are still surviving, the husband having died on Oct 22, 1873.
