Mrs. Hulda Hutts of Veedersburg has received word that her nephew, Pfc. Paul L. Coffing was killed in action on Okinawa April 11. He is survived by a widow and a nine months’ old baby. The Coffing family resided in Veedersburg prior to moving to California – 1945

Pfc Paul L. Coffing, 24 son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Coffing of San Luis Obispo, was killed in action April 11 on Okinawa, according to a War Department telegram received by the family.
