COFFING, Mary Marie - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mary Marie Coffing, 80, Longview, Texas, died at 1 a.m. Friday, September 30, at her home. She was a former resident of Covington and Hillsboro.

  Born November 4, 1902 at Winthrop, Illinois, she was the daughter of Ray and Adessie Butler Hickman. On February 26, 1923, she married Gail M. Coffing, who died November 16, 1972.

  She had been a resident of Longview the past five years. She was a member of Fountain Christian Church.

  Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Lee Corey of Longview; a son, Ernest Ray Coffing of Darlington; four grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

  Services were conducted Monday at Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with Rev. Glenn Ray Jr. officiating. Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery. – thanks to s
