COFFING, Helen M. - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Helen M. Coffing of Covington, age 52, died Sunday evening, March 6, in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, Illinois. She was born at Hillsboro, March 30, 1930, the daughter of Virgil and Gladys Pedigo. Mrs. Coffing had worked for 12 years as a bartender for the Friendly Tavern in Covington.

  Survivors include four daughters, Penny Edwards of Muncie, Susie Osborne of Kingman, Nancy Hall of Veedersburg and Chickie Hile of Houston, Texas; her mother of Veedersburg; two sisters, Annabelle Castleman of Stockton, California, and Irene Booe of Champaign, Illinois; and nine grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with Rev. Jack Holycross officiating. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery at Covington. – thanks to S
