H. Coffing, aged 83, a former resident of Fountain County, died at his home in Sacramento, Calif. on Aug. 24, and funeral services were held Aug. 26 with burial made in Fair Oaks Cemetery there. Mr. Coffing and family moved to California about 30 years ago, where he operated a fruit farm until he retired a few years ago. His wife died a few years ago, but he is survived by five children: Mrs. Maude L. Nichols of Madera, Calif., Lawrence D. Coffing of Santa Ana, Calif., and Mrs. Doris Madsen, Claude M. and Homer D.
