ATTICA, Ind. (CNS) - Mrs. Edna Vera Coffing, 89, of 704 S. Brady, Attica, died at 12:45 p.m. Monday (Sept. 28, 1970) at the Community Hospital in Williamsport. She had been a patient there three weeks. Born June 25, 1881, in Attica, she was the daughter of William and Ella Haas Robinson. She was married to James A. Coffing, who died in 1957. Mrs. Coffing was one of two surviving members of the graduating class of 1900 at Attica High. She was an active member of the First United Methodost Church, WSCS, Order of Eastern Star and 500 Club. Her husband had been a senior partner in the Coffing-Robinson Furniture Store at Attica. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Samuel (Eloise) Purnell of Wilmette; a granddaughter, Mrs. Charles Sims of Wilmett ; a grandson James Purnell of Evanston, Ill.; and four great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Alberta; and two brothers. Services will be at 2 p.m. EDT Wednesday at the Roemer Funeral Home. The Rev. Harold Bachert will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home. Friends will be received after 7 p.m. Tuesday. The family has requested that any memorials be in the form of donations to the cardiac care unit at the Community Hospital in Williamsport. - jlr
