COFFING, David - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

David N. Coffing of RR 3, Veedersburg, age 70, died Thursday, September 14, in Meadow Heights Nursing Home at Williamsport. He was born in Fountain County, March 14, 1908, the son of Ferman and Laura Knowles Coffing. He was married in Covington, July 4, 1931, to Myra Young, who survives. Mr. Coffing was a member of the United Methodist Church and was a retired farmer of the Mellott and Newtown areas. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Mary Ann Martin of Newtown; two sisters, Mrs. Lovetia Gnaden of Danville, Illinois, and Mrs. Helen Atwood of Attica; four grandchildren and one great-grandson. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Rev. Donald Watson officiating. Burial was in Newtown Cemetery.
