Veedersburg - Henry Boliver Coats, 78, an inventor and promoter, died at 2 p.m. Wednesday in a Logansport hospital. He had been in failing health four years and seriously ill since suffering a stroke last January. Born Dec. 10, 1881, near Veedersburg, Mr. Coats was the son of Joseph L. and Eva Clark Coats. He married Mollie Simpson in 1912. The wife died in 1918. Surviving are a daughter, Miss Lunoma Coats of Mt. Clemens, Mich.; two sisters Mrs. Mabel McCord of Veedersburg and Mrs. Ruby Snyder of Miami, Fla., and two brothers, Max Coats of Danville, Ill., and Luke Coats of Frankfort. The body was taken to the Fishero Funeral Home in Veedersburg where services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday. Rev. Samuel Pritchard will be the officiating minister. Burial will be at Rockfield Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
