COVINGTON — Ada Belle Clouse, 82, Covington, formerly of Veedersburg, died at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2001 in St. Vincents Williamsport Hospital. She had been a resident of The Waters of Covington nursing home for several years. She was born Feb. 8, 1919 in Monticello, Ky., the daughter of Elija and Mary E. Edwards Slagle. She married Herman Clouse Sept. 3, 1935 in Danville, Ind. He preceded in death in 1972. Survivors include: a son, Doug (Glenda) Clouse, Veedersburg; three sisters, Darlene Triplett, Kathleen Cline and Mable Allison; all of Iowa; two brothers, Tom Vaughn and Joe Vaughn, both of Iowa; a daughter-in-law, Mary Jane Hendrick; five grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son and a sister. Gravesite services will be at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday) in Bonebrake Cemetery, Veedersburg, with the Rev. Gary Johnson officiating. Dickerson Funeral Home, Veedersburg, is in charge of arrangements. – jlr
