CLIFTON, Thomas L. - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Covington—Thomas Leon Clifton, 31, died 12:15 a.m. Sunday at Des Plains, Ill.

  He was born May 2, 1943, at Tacoma, Wash., the son of Leon and Lulubell Coonse Clifton. He was married to Josephine Elizondo, who survives at Des Plains.

  Also surviving are three children, Tammy, Joann and Michelle, all at home; his father, at Danville, Ill.; a sister, Mrs. Barbara Wilson, Clarenton Hills, Ill.; his stepfather, Stephen Abernathy, Rt. 2, Veedersburg. He was preceded in death by his mother. He was a welder by trade.

  Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at the Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home, with burial at Cooper Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Wednesday.-s
