CLIFT, Charles F. - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Charles F. Clift of Veedersburg, age 77, died Friday morning, October 29, at his home. He was born in Veedersburg, December 30, 1904, the son of John and Mary Dye Clift. September 17, 1929, he married Alta Byers, who survives. A retired employee of Norfolk and Western Railroad, he was a member of Sterling Christian Church, Veedersburg Lions Club and K of P Lodge.

  Also surviving are four daughters, Doris Olmstead and Betty Mitton, both of Veedersburg, Reba Page of Hillsboro and Ann Watson of Crawfordsville; two sons, Donald of Veedersburg and Jack of Lake Charles, Louisiana; a sister, Florence Grimes of Veedersburg; 19 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Sterling Christian Church with Rev. Richard Throckmorton officiating. Burial was in Rockfield Cemetery. Parham Funeral Home of Veedersburg was in charge of arrangements.
