William J. Clemmons, Hillsboro ex-farmer and carpenter died at 9:15 p.m. Friday at Culver Hospital, Crawfordsville. He had been ill several months and entered the hospital Jan 13 on his birthday. Funeral services were held Sunday at the Hillsboro Church of the Nazarene the Rev. Edward McConaughay pastor officiating. Burial was made in Rose Hill Cemetery. Mr. Clemmons was born Jan 13, 1871 near Sulphur Lick, Ky son of Francis Marion and Margaret Hamilton Clemmons. He came to Indian as a young man and on Sept 15, 1917 was married to Miss Ida Cooper of Hillsboro. Most of their married life was spent near here. He was a member of the local church of the Nazarne. Surviving are his widow, three brothers, Luther and homas, Summershade, Ky and Perry, Crawfordsville; three sisters Miss Maude Clemons, Mrs. Roxie Pearcy and Mrs. Lucy Vance also of Summershade.
